AWUS036H Accesspoint

  • Hallo Leute,

    ich versuche momentan mit einem alten [font="sans-serif"]AWUS036H Wlan Adapter einer AP mit dem RPI hinzubekommen. Anscheinend haben das auch schon viele andere geschafft (hier z.B.: http://www.tacticalcode.de/2013/02/raspbe…lan-bridge.html ). Aber bei mir läuft das einfach nicht. Ich bekomme immer die Fehlermeldung:[/font]

    Also kann es sein das es AWUS036H Adapter gibt die ein AP sein können und welche die es nicht können?

    ich gehe mal davon aus, dass Du keine Lösung gefunden hast.

    Ich habe mir mal ein paar Minuten Zeit genommen und meinen AWUS036H getestet. Eine SD-Karte mit einem funktionsfähig konfigurierten WLAN-AP hatte ich noch rumliegen.

    Mein Ergebnis ist das selbe, wie bei Dir.

    An der eigentlichen Konfiguration kann man nicht so viel ändern. Oder um es anders auszudrücken, der AWUS036H ist für diese Anwendung weniger gut geeignet, obwohl der wegen seiner Leistungsmerkmale sehr gut geeignet sein müsste.

    Meiner Erfahrung nach arbeiten mit hostapd am besten die WLAN-Adapter, die einen Ralink-Chipsatz haben. Mit allem anderen habe ich keine so guten Erfahrungen gemacht. Wobei andere WLAN-Adapter für andere Anwendungen besser geeignet sind.
    Wenn Du auf den AWUS036H bestehts, dann brauchst Du eine angepasste hostapd und/oder angepasste Treiber. Ich bezweifle, ob der Aufwand lohnt. WLAN-Adapter bekommt man heute schon für ein paar Euro nachgeschmissen.
