Music Player Daemon (MPD), 1:1 flac HDMI out (without resampling)

  • Hi,

I have installed and configured mpd (with nfs share), now I would like to play my Flac files "like the are". Until now, all the files get resampled. I found some advice, but they all use a DAC. I would like to use HDMI to get the Audio from RPI to my AVR.

Second question, is there a way to handle mp3 and flac files separately? or did I have to install a second instance of mpd? the reason why:
I have ALL files in MP3, but only some of them in FLAC.

the nfs share are mounted as something like
    /path/to/MP3Files/onServer /home/pi/musik/mp3
    /path/to/FlacFiles/onServer /home/pi/musik/flac

in mpd.conf /home/pi/musik is configured as the base directory.
Now in MPad or MPod I have duplicates...

^^MPad and MPod is the reason why I like to use Music Player Daemon. I know I could use XBMC to play my MP3 and Flac files (that would fix my HD Audio OUT Problem over HDMI and the "duplicated" files, but XBMC is no option cause I like the MPad and MPod app so much ;))

    thx
